Schedule Corporate Volunteer

Give your team a gentle pause from the pace of everyday work by scheduling a corporate volunteer day at Whispering Acres Farm Sanctuary. Our purposeful program blends meaningful, hard-work with restorative interactions with the animals so team members leave refreshed, bonded, and inspired.

What the day includes

  • Welcome and orientation: A brief introduction to the sanctuary’s mission, animal residents, and safety guidelines.

  • Team Selection: Participants will be offered various team projects based on their preferred work (with or without animal interactions) and physical capabilities. Projects are selected based on the seasonal needs of the sanctuary.

  • Hands-on animal care: For those comfortable working with animals, we will offer the opportunity for feeding, grooming, gentle enrichment, and habitat maintenance for our residents.

  • Animal interaction time: We encourage all participants to pause and enjoy some quality time with our residents, who will be sure to be supervising any activities!

  • Debrief and reflections (Optional): A facilitated close to share experiences, lessons learned, and ways to carry the reset back into the workplace.

Why it works for corporations

  • Builds teamwork and morale: Shared meaningful service fosters connection and a sense of accomplishment beyond ordinary team-building activities.

  • Reduces stress and boosts wellbeing: Time with animals and nature has proven calming effects, helping employees return more focused and resilient.

  • Supports corporate social responsibility: Your volunteer hours directly support animal welfare, sanctuary upkeep, and educational outreach. We are happy to provide any documentation required for your company.

  • Flexible and customizable: Half-day or full-day options, and projects adapted for physical ability and group size. Programs are subject to weather and are offered from April to November.

Give your team a day of purposeful rest—hands in the earth, time with gentle animals, and a reset that carries back into work and life.

Logistics FAQ

  • Closed-toed shoes are required, clothing should be comfortable and something you can get dirty as this is a farm and outdoors. We recommend limiting jewelry to rings, watches, and non-dangling earrings.

  • We can tailor activities to meet varying mobility needs—just let us know in advance!

  • Groups are welcome to bring Breakfast, Lunches, or Snacks. There is a covered pavilion with seating and a handwashing station available. Whispering Acres will provide bottled water and a water bottle refilling station.

  • We are happy to accomodate groups of all sizes. Larger groups require one month notice to ensure enough activities can be prepared.
